For Drew, the path to golf wasn’t planned - it unfolded naturally, driven by curiosity, persistence, and a willingness to try something new.

As the youngest of four siblings and the son of a public school teacher, Drew is part of a busy, hardworking household where resources are carefully balanced. Supporting four children in sports and activities comes with real financial challenges, and like many families, investing in newer or specialized equipment isn’t always easy. Even so, Drew found a way to begin his journey in the game.

That turning point came when a friend and neighbor decided to try out for the high school golf team. Intrigued, Drew followed suit - not with years of experience, but with a growing interest and a willingness to learn.

With the help of Youth on Course, Drew began playing golf last summer using a set of used clubs. This program helped make the game more accessible, giving him the chance to get on the course and develop his skills. What began as a casual introduction quickly became something more meaningful.

By Christmas, it was clear golf had become more than just an interest. Instead of traditional gifts, Drew asked for tools to improve: a practice net, artificial turf, and an indoor putting setup. He committed himself to getting better by spending hours practicing, refining his swing, and building consistency.

Earlier this spring, Drew faced a difficult decision. After working out with the baseball team, he chose to step away from a sport he had long been part of to pursue golf full-time. It was a leap- but one that paid off. Drew earned a spot on his high school golf team.

As he stepped into a more competitive environment, it became clear that effort alone wasn’t enough. His coach encouraged him to upgrade his equipment to match his dedication and growing skill level - something that can be a significant hurdle for families already balancing multiple expenses and commitments.

That’s where Drive Fore The Future stepped in.

Recognizing Drew’s commitment and potential, the foundation provided him with a set of 2026 Callaway Quantum Max OS Irons, giving him access to the kind of technology that can make a meaningful difference in performance and confidence.

Now, Drew continues to put in several hours of practice each day, driven by a clear goal: to improve, compete, and make the most of every opportunity. Recently, that work translated into a major milestone: he qualified to play in his first match with the team.

Drew’s story is still just beginning, but it already reflects something powerful: when determination is met with opportunity, progress follows. With the support of programs like Youth on Course and organizations like Drive Fore The Future, young athletes like Drew are able to pursue the game with confidence and a path forward.
