In Oscoda, MI, Oscoda Area High School's once-thriving golf program, which clinched two state titles in the 1960s, fell dormant over the past 12 years due to waning player interest and limited funds. Now, under the leadership of new Varsity coach Dean Caldwell, the school is determined to reignite its golf legacy. To kickstart this revival, Caldwell sought support from Drive Fore the Future Foundation, which stepped in to provide a monetary donation to fund essential clothing, clubs, and equipment. With this assistance, Oscoda Area High School is poised to bring back the excitement and opportunity that golf offers to its students and community.
