The Syracuse Academy of Science Golf Club is gaining momentum once again, thanks to continued support from Drive Fore The Future. Building on a prior partnership that helped introduce students to the game, the foundation has stepped up in a meaningful way this year -providing the equipment needed to expand access and elevate the program.
This season, Drive Fore The Future donated two complete sets of women’s clubs, two complete sets of men’s clubs, and four complete junior sets, ensuring that more student-athletes have the opportunity to participate regardless of experience level or access to gear. For many students, this removes one of the biggest barriers to entry in the sport.
The Syracuse Academy of Science Golf Club has steadily developed into a space where students can learn not only the fundamentals of golf, but also the values that come with it - discipline, patience, and integrity. With the addition of new equipment, the program is better positioned than ever to welcome beginners while continuing to support returning players.
“This kind of support truly makes a difference for our students,” said Stefan Reddick, who coordinated the effort with the foundation. “Having access to proper equipment allows more students to get involved, build confidence, and experience everything the game of golf has to offer.”
Drive Fore The Future has a mission centered on expanding access to golf for young people, particularly in communities where opportunities to engage with the sport may be limited. Their previous involvement with the Syracuse Academy of Science helped lay the groundwork for the program’s growth, and this latest contribution reinforces a shared commitment to long-term impact.
With the new sets now in the hands of student-athletes, the Syracuse Academy of Science Golf Club is poised for another strong season of inclusion, opportunity, and growth.
As the program continues to evolve, partnerships like this serve as a reminder that when communities come together to support youth development, the results extend far beyond the course.
